VOLUTAM TRACHEO-BRONCHIAL  ANATOMİC-Y Stent is the original design, used successfully to treat compression of the carina.

The Y Stent is placed endoscopically to fit precisely in the distal trachea, carina, and proximal bronchi.

The stents are made from implant-grade silicone suitable for long-term placement  (implantable for more than 29 days) and feature an exclusive surface treatment to ensure non-adherence.

The material is flexible enough to allow for atraumatic insertion and placement, yet will seek its original shape following placement, providing the force necessary to correct compression of the trachea, bronchi, and carina.

Stud design aids in naturally fixing the stent between the cartilaginous rings of the trachea, while the lower “Y” shape prevents distal migration.

VOLUTAM TRACHEO-BRONCHIAL ANATOMİC -Y Stents feature a wall thickness of 1.0 mm.

Stents are available in both clear  silicone and radiopaque marker.

Indications for use

In general,in any case of reduction of airway diameter due to intrinsic or extrinsic compression.

Tracheobronchial tumors

Tracheal stenosis with scarring

Bronchial stenosis following surgical resection and anastomosis

Bronchial stenosis following pulmonary transplantation.
